Friendship,
Faith
and
Responsibility
is
a
class
on
values
and
character
education.
The
discussion
is
based
on
characters
in
the
books.
The
class
participates
in
finding
things
we
can
see
and
values
are
things
we
frequently
can
not
see.
They
discover
that
the
invisible
things
in
life
can
be
far
more
important
than
things
we
can
see.
This
discussion
is
designed
differently
for
the
grade
levels.
Ten
Secrets
to
Writing
is
a
class
that
discusses
creativity,
editing,
and
rewriting.
We
use
class
participation
such
as
the
five
minute
rewrite
on
finishing
the
stories
with
a
different
ending.
I
use
new
stories
that
I
am
working
on
and
the
class
helps
me
with
them.
This
can
be
designed
for
different
grade
levels.
Publishing
a
Book
is
a
discussion
of
the
creation
of
a
book
from
the
writing,
working
with
an
illustrator,
creating
the
book
on
CD,
printing
the
book
and
distribution.
We
use
original
story
lines
and
how
they
evolve
in
the
process
of
editing,
original
sketches
of
the
artwork,
cut
sheets
and
proofs
from
the
printers,
mock
up
copies
of
books,
final
product
and
marketing
plans.
Illustration
Techniques
using
Photoshop
is
a
class
where
the
illustrator
uses
the
computer
and
audio
visual
equipment
to
show
how
he
uses
the
Photoshop
Program
to
draw
the
pictures
in
the
books
and
integrates
them
with
the
words.
The
illustrator
begins
with
a
sketch
in
a
book
and
progresses
to
drawing
on
the
computer.
Pre-K
and
K
Classes
I
read
to
the
younger
classes
and
show
cut
sheets,
draft
illustrations
and
copies
of
proof
books
from
the
printer.
We
sometimes
have
coloring
sheets
for
‘Tangle
Fairies”.
